I installed a pair of Sparco Evo's, using a combination of the oem brackets and new custom aluminum ones, all powdercoated. The driver's seat direction is angled as much as possible to mimic the original configuration, but the Evo's are wide at the top and will butt up against the driver door trim, so make sure you can close your door if you go this route! The mounts are adjustable, but there is no quick adjustability. The focus here was maximum weight loss and safety. Total weight including brackets comes in at 14 pounds per seat.

The fire extinguisher is a used but freshly charged 7-lb Halon unit, and there is a local recharge shop that has lots of stock. A must-have for any modified car, and I recommend one for any car period. I have used several of them, once on my own car thanks to a ruptured oil hose on the highway. Saved the car and limited the damage to cosmetic and neighbouring plastics. Many cars have been lost due to engine or electrical fires, including another MKI.5 (Steve's).

The cockpit view has changed somewhat over the years, but staples have been the Momo Runner wheel with quick-disconnect, and Autometer gauges:

All interior lights and gauges were updated with blue LED lighting:

Part of a larger project included utilizing my iTouch as a new gauge display and control station. With it I can view RPM and control my servo-actuated TVIS, see Air-Fuel Ratio, A2W intercooler temperatures, control my Stereo (Firewire quality sound) via my Mac, control all vehicle fans, and access car security:

Here is a view of the TVIS control view:

I built a strong laptop cage/mount, leather-clad, with electronic locks. The laptop will also handle all tuning responsabilities once I run Neptune:

Here is the iTouch mounted, with the Wideband view. It's just below my line-of-sight for the road, and I can change views without my hands leaving the wheel:

The helicopter switches control the rear deck fans and the new Air-to-Water intercooler:

More interior pictures can be found in my Stereo section.
